"Franzius" e.V.

The "Franzius" is an historical replica of the type of trading ship used to transport import and export goods and emigrants in the Weser region up until the 19th century. It was built in 1999 by "Bremer Bootsbau Vegesack (BBV)" and is now operated by the non-profit association "FRANZIUS" e.V., which was founded by a group of Bremen entrepreneurs.

The vessel does regular tours on the Wadden Sea. A sailing schedule offering events and trips for individuals and groups is published annually. When moored at its winter quarters in the Bremen Schlachte, the Weser boat offers a very striking backdrop for family parties, receptions and exhibitions, or even as a location for seminars and conferences, and can accommodate up to 40 guests.
